DeSean, that was more like 4 cents my friend. :)

Roch, Ed and myself have covered Google pretty well at this point. We have lots of ideas, and I think many more could be generated, but the City is somewhat running the show and didn't seem to be interested in brainstorming with citizens.

Yes, Topeka did the name change (not legally) and it's received a vast amount of coverage... I actually think it would be lame if Greensboro did the same because we'd simply be following another city. We need original ideas, or better yet, we need the ideas we currently have to be put on the table. Greensboro is wildly creative, but that creativity is not being tapped into at all.

Give these posts a quick read,

Interesting information, Ryan.

What is also just as interesting, if not more so, is the last minute Katie Dorsett pull-out, and slip in of Gladys Robinson. Which, according to N & R has blindsided County Commissioner Bruce Davis, who has long wanted the District 28 seat. I know last week N & R did a short piece about it and Doug Clark did a post about it on his blog at the N & R. I am sure this will only get more interesting as the primaries approach. I would like to know, how long has a democrat held that senate seat?

Sounds like a good race though if it ends up being Dr.Trudy Wade vs Bruce Davis (if he actually runs as Independent/Write-In).

Also, what's going on with this Google thing? I was watching News 2 (yes, I admit it) and Frank Mickens reported on Topeka, Kansas having the Mayor symbolically changing the city’s name to Google or something to that affect and it of course has created a lot of national attention. And then I remember reading somewhere this morning that the Greensboro City Council and Mayor wanted to do something similar. Roch seems to have GREAT ideas about this whole Google thing. I know you prefer to have comments pertain to the current post, but I was just interested to see what was going on with that. Just my 2 cents. :-)
